With a mix of big personalities, influencers, and reality TV names all under one roof, the show quickly becomes less about having a perfect game plan and more about adapting in real time. Speaking to Expressions Oozing, Chloe Ferry, Eddie Hall, Alhan Ganćay, and Chian Reynolds, it’s clear that no two experiences inside the house were the same.
For some, strategy played a big role going in. Expressions didn’t just prepare mentally; he created an entire persona. Knowing his loud personality would already make him stand out, he decided to balance that by building a backstory that might gain sympathy from others. “I knew I’m loud already,” he said. “So I thought, let me give people something else… I made up two kids.” The idea was to soften how others perceived him while helping him navigate the challenges ahead. But even with a plan in place, things didn’t go exactly as expected, with illness before entering the house forcing him to adapt quickly.
Others took a much looser approach. Alhan admitted he didn’t go in with the intention of playing a strategic game at all. “It was more about going in, being myself, and seeing what happens.” That unpredictability ended up working in his favour, especially when it came to how he connected with people. In fact, one of the biggest surprises for him was just how well he got on with the rest of the cast. “I thought it would be my worst nightmare,” he admitted, referencing the mix of influencers and big personalities. “But I ended up getting on with everyone.”
That theme of unexpected connections came up again and again. Expressions found comfort early on after spotting Chian, someone he already knew before the show, which made settling into the environment much easier. Chloe, on the other hand, entered the house not knowing anyone, describing it as initially overwhelming. “It’s scary walking into a house with big personalities from different backgrounds,” she said. Despite that, she quickly formed bonds, particularly with Saffron and, more surprisingly, Alhan. “I didn’t expect him and me to get on the most, but we really did,” she said. Alhan echoed the sentiment, admitting that some of the friendships that came out of the experience were the ones he least expected.
Away from the social side, the reality of living inside the house brought its own challenges. Chloe didn’t hold back when describing the food situation, revealing it was far from glamorous. “It was just rice every day… no flavour, nothing. I didn’t think it would be that bad until I was actually there.” Combined with limited resources and constant filming, the environment pushed contestants out of their comfort zones in ways they hadn’t anticipated.
One of the biggest adjustments for everyone, however, was being completely cut off from the outside world. Phones were removed entirely, something many expected to struggle with, but the reality turned out to be quite different. Alhan described it as one of the most positive parts of the experience. “You don’t realise how much you rely on your phone until it’s gone,” he said, adding that he’s tried to carry that mindset into everyday life since leaving the show. Chian shared a similar perspective, describing the experience as a reset from constant scrolling and digital distractions. Still, returning to normal life came with its own shock, as messages and notifications quickly piled up the moment they reconnected.
For Eddie Hall, the experience was less about strategy or social dynamics and more about mindset. With little time to prepare before entering, he relied on mental strength to carry him through. “I just threw myself into everything,” he said. “I wasn’t scared of anything; every challenge, I just went for it.” That approach helped him settle in quickly, especially alongside stronger personalities in the house.
While there’s a clear incentive at stake, not everyone approached the experience with a focus on the result. Chloe explained that for her, it was more about pushing herself outside of her comfort zone and embracing something completely new. “I went in for the experience,” she said. “Meeting new people and challenging myself—that was the main thing.” Chian also saw it as an opportunity to show a different side of herself beyond her presenting work, while balancing her identity as a mum. Others reflected more broadly on what they would prioritise in that kind of situation, from investing in their future to simply making the most of the opportunity.
As the season continues, one thing is clear—Inside Season 3 thrives on unpredictability. From shifting alliances to unexpected friendships and moments of chaos, the show is less about a fixed strategy and more about how people adapt when placed in a completely unfamiliar environment. Or, as Alhan put it, “It’s just a house where you can be a menace.”
