Manchester-based newcomer Silyla – who was also born in Canada and raised in London – has provided us with her debut single titled “C’est La Vie”.
Despite being her first official release, Silyla has been working on songwriting, production and visual creation behind the scenes for the past five years and she merges those skills to create “C’est La Vie” – a smooth R&B cut co-produced by Rndmbeats and Silyla herself.
As well as handling the vocals and production, Silyla also co-directs the accompanying visuals alongside Ape Ninja.
“I was being introduced to a lot of new people at this time and found myself getting a lot of unwanted attention from certain types of people,” Silyla said on the making of “C’est La Vie”. “I wrote this song to represent the feeling of being able to be an individual, and knowing who’s good and bad for you, whether that be in a toxic relationship, or a friendship.”
