It’s been 16 years since The Simpons: Hit & Run game was released and it looks like a new version of the game may be coming soon.

The producer of the much-loved video game, Vlad Ceraldi, has hinted that a remastered edition of Hit & Run could be available to play in the future.

Speaking to LADBible, Ceraldi said: “I could see it on multiple types of platforms as a remake or remaster.

“It would have to take the parties who are in charge of the property to want that to happen and someone out there to decide that they were going to go out and do it. But absolutely, it would be fun to explore those characters and that universe again, that work again.”

Originally released in 2003, Hit & Run followed the Simpons family around Springfield as they took on various fun missions and instantly became a hit with fans of the franchise.

News of a refreshed Simpsons game comes after the show’s creator Matt Groening teased a second Simpsons movie.

Ceraldi also said a remastered version of the game has been discussed before, but never in a professional setting. Now he has spoken of the idea publicly, hopefully the wheels for a remake of the game can be put in motion properly.
