Skepta recently hit the BBC’s Maida Vale studios and while there, he performed a number of his hits including “Bullet From A Gun” and “Castles”.
Since being released back in May, “Bullet From A Gun” emerged as one of the standout tracks from Skepta’s most recent LP, Ignorance Is Bliss, because of Skepta’s from-the-heart lyrics and he captures the tune’s honest tone in his simple but effective performance.
Over the years, the BBK frontman has delivered a whole range of deep tracks and he revisited one of them during his time at the Maida Vale studio – “Castles”. Taken from his well-received Blacklisted project, the track is another sobering offering from Skepta which he uses to express some of his most sincere thoughts and opinions.
Since the release of Blacklisted, Skepta has gone on to have major success in the music world – as well as in the fashion industry – so it’s refreshing to see the legendary artist return to one of the tape’s classic tracks during his recent appearance in the BBC’s studio.
