Over the past few years, we’ve seen Skepta team up with Nike numerous times to create various SkAir trainers and it looks like another collaboration is in the works.

The Boy Better Know artist took to Twitter recently to provide an update on the forthcoming SkAir 5, writing: “#SkAIRA5 out 2021. Pandemic put a spanner in the works but I promise you they’re worth the wait.”

Due for release next year, the SkAir 5’s will be Skepta’s fifth trainer collaboration with Nike; following the release of Nike Air Max 97 SK, Nike Air Max 97/BW Sk Air II, Nike Air Max Deluxe SK and the SK Shox TL.

The announcement of Skepta’s forthcoming trainer with Nike comes after he recently teamed up with Cuban rum brand, Havana Club – demonstrating his collaborative nature once again.

Judging by Skepta’s tweet, the SkAir 5’s were due to drop sooner than now scheduled but the release date was pushed back due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Despite this, we can expect the trainers to be a huge hit with fans and sneaker heads – in a similar fashion to his previous trainer releases – whenever they do drop.
