Smallgod has established himself as a cultural titan over the years, dabbling in a range of different influential positions. From being an A&R, to artist management, to publishing, Smallgod already had a catalogue of work that would spark an inferiority complex in most.
This summer, Smallgod took a plunge, spreading his wings even further with the release of his debut project Building Bridges. This project sought to trace and connect different musical experiences stemming from both the African diasporas and Africa itself, with a focus on experimentation and quality music.
One of the standout tracks was “Let Dem Kno” – a joyous afrobeats inspired track. Combining sultry vocals from Tiwa Savage with Kwesi Arthur’s signature deep register, “Let Dem Kno” is a great advertisement for the project on the whole.
Smallgod’s production creates a soundscape that immediately conjures images of a wild party in Africa, providing the perfect backdrop for Kwesi and Tiwa Savage to shine.
