Now it is no secret that Snoop Dogg loves him some green (and by that we mean cannabis not broccoli). He has now taken it a step further by dedicating an entire website to the cannabis lifestyle. Snoop announced the news at a TechCrunch event in San Francisco.
The platform will be called ‘Merry Jane’, and it will also have its own series where the episodes will focus on different aspects of cannabis. A few US states have already decriminalised cannabis and have allowed it for medicinal purposes.
When Snoop graced the stage at the event, he mentioned that the site will help the users understand “all they need to know about marijuana and feature videos and interviews with other high-profile users.”
Seth Rogen and Miley Cyrus are also supporting Snoop’s website, which he produced alongside media entrepreneur Ted Chung. The site should be able to view in a few weeks.
With the creation of this website, Snoop is hoping that it will encourage individuals to be upfront about their marijuana usage. He said, “There are so many people in the closet, and we are giving them an opportunity to come out of the closet and just admit they like to smoke. I’m a smoker, my name is Snoop Dogg, and I’m a stoner.”
He continued with; “Merry Jane is a game-changing platform for pop culture. It’s a new frontier y’all!”
We look forward to seeing how this one pans out. Big up Uncle Snoop.
