On the 5th of August, 42 fans were injured at a Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa concert when a security barrier collapsed at the BB&T Pavilion in Camden, New Jersey.

Associated Press has now reported that seventeen of the injured people – 14 fans and three venue employees – are now suing Wiz and Snoop as well as the venue.

The rappers were filmed telling the victims to “stand up” after they fell 10 feet onto a concrete pathway when railing broke, due to the force of the crowd pushing forward.

One of the victim’s lawyers, Robert J. Mongeluzzi, stated that one victim suffered from an injured spine, but the actual damages that the people are filing for haven’t been released yet.

He told Associated Press, “I can tell you there is no doubt there was a crowd surge based upon the setup of the lawn with no chairs and no aisles, lack of security … and then the artists telling people to come forward. That’s the setup, and that’s the failure.”
