Sony is looking to push the boundaries even further as they look to explore their products in the mobile gaming world.

The global gaming company look to achieve success in this market by adapting PlayStation’s most popular franchises into mobile format. This could include blockbuster games such as Naughty Dog’s Uncharted and Insomniac’s Ratchet & Clank being modified to be played on a smaller screen!

In their most recent job advertisement, Sony posted that they’re looking for a Head of Mobile candidate who “Will be responsible for building and scaling a team of mobile leaders”.

A roadmap has also been placed out with the timeframe for completion being three to five years.

Sony has previously dived into mobile gaming back in 2011 with it’s Sony Xperia Play which was labelled the PlayStation phone and had over 50 games in its package!

This could be a grand opportunity to take, and Sony can look at the likes of Candy Crush and Pokémon Go for motivation with the two popular apps having worldwide success in mobile gaming.
