Marvel fans rejoice as there’s a new a Spider-Man spin-off in the works titled El Muerto!
Due for release in January 2024, El Muerto the film will be based on a super powered wrestler whose mask and powers have been passed down generation to generation.
The hero first debuted in a 2006 issue of Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man where he fought Spidey in a charity wrestling match.
The award-winning musician Bad Bunny has been announced as the star of the upcoming film which was announced by Sony Motion Pictures Group president, Sanford Panitch, at CinemaCon. Bad Bunny will be the first Latino actor to lead a Marvel live-action movie.
“To bring El Muerto to life is just incredible … so exciting,” Bad Bunny told the audience at the event.
The announcement of El Muerto comes following Sony and Marvel’s two Venom films, as well as the recent flick Morbius. Before El Muerto hits cinemas, we’re set to receive two more Sony-Marvel films in the form of Kraven The Hunter and Madame Web.
