Squid Game is one of the most talked about topics – if not the most – at the moment so it comes as no surprise that the series has now made history on Netflix!
The streaming giant revealed that Squid Game has surpassed Bridgerton to become the biggest series launch on the platform with 111 million viewers. Netflix counts an official view as any person who watches over two minutes of a show.
“Squid Game has officially reached 111 million fans — making it our biggest series launch ever,” Netflix tweeted.
Since being released last month, the Korean drama has proved popular with fans across the word and is currently the Number 1 most-streamed Netflix show in 90 countries.
A second season hasn’t been announced but given the hype around the show, we can expect the makers of the show to create another series for fans.
