The influence of social media has made differentiating truth from fabricated stories all the more difficult. Yet, even on April Fools of all days, a prank from BBC Three, whereby they published a hoax poster for a David Attenborough documentary called Life of Grime fooled none other than the peoples champ and superstar, Stormzy!

The picture itself is from Ghetts’, “Dun Know Already Remix” video shoot and edited to include David Attenborough. As you can see from the following Tweets, Stormzy, who is currently on a sold out tour fresh from the incredible success of his album, Gang Signs and Prayer, even direct messaged BBC Three’s Twitter account to give them a piece of his mind.

Whilst Stormzy didn’t disclose what he exactly said in the message, the tweet suggests it wasn’t one of support to say the least! It was all taken in good humour though as he publicly apologised. In fact, this is just another example of Stormzy exhibiting his personable and endearing personality proving anybody can be caught out on April Fools!
