Last night’s BET award shows predictably got social media in a frenzy, especially that uncomfortable Joe Budden v Migos incident.
Lost in the sauce however, was the fact the UK got their recognition too. When it came to the Best International Act award, their was a slew of British names on the nomination list. Giggs, Skepta, Stormzy, Wiley, Craig David and Emeli Sande made up the majority of the roster, with French artists MHD and Booba rounding off the list.
Stormzy ended up nabbing the prestigious accolade, however he was unable to attend as he had just finished performing his shutdown show at Glastonbury.
This actually isn’t the first time Stormzy has bagged the gong. The 2015 edition of the awards saw a post-“Know Me From” Stormz win as well.
