Stormzy is celebrating the release of his debut book Rise Up: The #Merky Story So Far.

Co-written and edited by Jude Yawson, Rise Up is an autobiography detailing the story of Stormzy’s humble beginnings to his current household name status. The book also features lyrics, comments from those close to him and rare and unseen photos.

Earlier in the day, Big Mike took to Instagram to announce the release of his book and used the opportunity to shed light on the creative process.

“RISE UP: The #Merky Story So Far. IS OFFICIALLY OUT NOW”, he begins. “I can’t quite perfectly describe this book because it is so many things – a documentation of our journey, a memoir of our struggles and a true tale of ambition and perseverance”.
