It looks like Stormzy could be starting 2020 with a bang as the south London artist is expected to score the first UK number one of the year and the decade.

The news was revealed by the Official Charts on Twitter in a tweet which reads: “Own It by @Stormzy ft. Ed Sheeran & Burna Boy on track to become the first Number 1 of the new decade”.

If Stormzy is able to top the charts this week with “Own It” featuring Ed Sheeran and Burna Boy, the song will serve as Stormzy’s third UK number one single following the likes of “Vossi Bop” and “Take Me Back To London” with Ed.

From headlining Glastonbury to releasing his second studio album, 2019 has been a massive year for Stormzy and judging by the chart success of “Own It”, it looks like 2020 – and the next decade – will be even bigger for the rapper.

Be sure to buy and stream “Own It” to make sure Stormzy lands the first UK number one single of the new decade.
