Back in August, Chinese national Hang Zhang, 25, was arrested and sectioned under the Mental Health Act after being found at the main gate of Buckingham Palace with a knife.

Today, he appeared in court via video link and pleaded not guilty to the charge of possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.

The Sheffield University student apparently made just one comment during questioning “my mission is to kill the Queen” and no comment to all other questions.

His trial has been set for December 8th at Westminster Magistrates Court.
