Subway unveil new vegan Meatless Meatball Marinara

With Veganuary now being in full swing, it has been a solid start to the year for the continuously growing collective of vegans, with some of the biggest franchises in the world now vouching for a vegan lifestyle.

While Subway has offered vegan options for a while now, they are continuing to add more vegan options to their menu.

The latest sub which has been added to the list is the Meatless Meatball Marinara, with the intentions of this sub being a take on the classic Meatball Marinara that we all know.

Subway have vouched for this sub to be just as tasty as the original, with the meat-free meatballs being made from a mix of soya and wheat proteins combined with a range of tasty herbs and spices.

To complete the finished article of the vegan sub, the Meatless Meatball Mariana is coated in the original Meatball Mariana sauce and topped with vegan melted cheese.

Speaking confidently about their new vegan sub, Colin Hughes, country director of Subway UK and Ireland said, “We’re always shaking up our menu at Subway and we are constantly innovating. Our guests wanted a meatless version of our iconic sub, so we made it for them.

“The Meatless Meatball Marinara is equally as delicious as the original, and a tempting choice for all of our guests, whether they are looking for a plant-based alternative, or simply want to enjoy something a little different.”
