Hot off the heels of her latest album, U.S singer-songwriter Summer Walker has taken to the BBC Radio 1xtra live lounge to serve up two poised, heartfelt performances.
Taken from her 2019 album, Over It, Summer takes us back in a smooth rendition of her smooth hit “Playing Games”. Accompanied by a live band and captivating backing vocalists, the Atlanta-based artist performs in perfect unison with her musical counterparts.
Almost two years on from the release of Over It, Summer dropped off her much anticipated follow-up album, Still Over It. Taken from the release, Summer’s second live lounge performance came in the shape of laid-back hit “Toxic”, featuring Lil Durk. Once more, the dulcet singer strips it back, delivering a second composed performance.
Her vocals fill the studio, with her signature tones bleeding through the acoustic backing tracks played by the band.
