On Thursday 15th June something special is happening at Kamio in Shoreditch. #GrimeAid is back. The annual event brings together some of the most talented artists in the scene to raise money for the Road to Freedom charity, who are raising funds for those unimaginably suffering due to the famine and terror threats currently ripping through Somalia.

Sometimes in life it is not enough to sit back and only comment on the atrocities that are going on in the world. Some things call for action and that is exactly what Road for Freedom founder Ra’ed Khan decided when he established the charity two years ago. Since its birth, the Road to Freedom team have visited refugee camps all over Europe with care packages consisting of food, basic hygiene products, medicine and clothing for its residents. These packages make a genuine difference for those enduring such hardships.

This is a chance for you to get up out of your seats and actually do something to make a difference to people’s lives when they need it most. Not only are you actively helping those suffering more than our first-world selves could ever imagine, it’ll be marked by a night filled with positive vibes and great music. 100% of the profits earned on the night will be returned to Road to Freedom to fund more trips to help those in need.

This year’s #GrimeAid has, as expected, a suitably heavy line up . P Money, Donae’O, Logan Sama, Big Tobz and Bonkaz will all be taking the stage during the night alongside Poet who is hosting the evening. There’s also more acts to be revealed, so watch this space. Tickets are £10 and are available from Dice
here.

See you there!
