Suspect Charged In Fatal Shooting Of Nipsey Hussle

The suspect who was arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of Nipsey Hussle has now been charged, according to reports.

On Tuesday (2 April), Eric Holder was arrested by the Los Angeles Police Department in Lakewood, California.

The LAPD took to Twitter to confirm his arrest.

“Eric Holder, the suspected killer of Nipsey Hussle, has been arrested and is in police custody”, the LAPD wrote.

“Thank you to both our community for the heightened awareness/vigilance, and our partners at @LASDHQ”.

Following his arrest, Holder was charged with one account of murder and two accounts of attempted murder by prosecutors. If found guilty, he will face a maximum sentence of life in prison.

Eric Holder has since pleaded not guilty and has been ordered to return for a hearing on 10 May. The suspect is currently being held on bail for $5 million.

In a previous statement from the LAPD, they provided details of the incident.

They reported: “On March 31, 2019 around 3:20pm, three male adults were standing in front of a business in a strip mall in the 3400 block of West Slauson Blvd.

“The suspect walked up to the men and fired numerous shots at them. The victims were struck and fell to the ground. The suspect ran southbound through an adjacent alley to a waiting vehicle. The suspect entered the passenger side and fled the area… The vehicle was driven by an unidentified female.

“Two victims were transported to local hospitals and one refused medical treatment at the scene. One victim, Ermias Asghedom, known as Nipsey Hussle, died as a result of the gunshot wounds he sustained”.

Since Nipsey’s passing, several artists within the hip-hop community have paid their respects to the rapper.
