BAFTA Award-Winning TV star, chef, musician and all-round talent Big Zuu was among several other big names in the food world who appeared at the Taste Of London Festival on Wednesday as the food festival returned for its opening night.
The festival offers visitors the opportunity to taste treats from restaurant rotations, pop up bars and food showcases and included on the billing were Likkle Dutch Pot, Longboys, Bone Daddies, Seoul Bird, Issho-Ni, Hotbox and more.
At the opening night party, VIP guests were treated to glasses of champagne, food freebies and some of the most decadent and delicious dishes in the world.
Cooking novices were able to take part in a cooking class called CookSchool with GetYourGuide hosted by Zainab Pirzada who dazzled with her warm personality and wealth of knowledge.
Big Zuu pulled out all of the stops at The Fire Pit along with his bros Tubsey and Hyder. With cooking, commentary and hilarious anecdotes, Zuu’s station was packed to the brim full of excited foodies looking to see the star as well as his culinary creations.
There is something for everyone at the festival – alcohol indulgers can enjoy tequila, rum, wine, champagne and artisan spirts from all across the globe including Japan, Mexico and the Caribbean.
Coffee drinkers can taste the finest caffeine fuelled hits in the nation and foodies will be overwhelmed at the amount of cuisines and dishes on offer.
At a quick glance – lobster, curry, prawns, brisket, pretzels, vegan bacon, tofu, chicken, curry goat, bean stews and crisps were just some of the dishes on offer.
Continuing until the 18th of June, the festival is only just getting started and will host the likes of Zuu as well as Ben Tish, Judy Joo, Mursal Saiq, Elizabeth Haigh, and George Scott-Toft.
With the weather set to remain in the high twenties this weekend, where better than to spend the day than at the park eating and drinking until your heart is content.
