2014 was a great year for trainers.
We have had a lot of block colours released; red, white and black have had us spending like mad. If it wasn’t triple black Huaraches it was Hyperfuse AM90s. Even Adidas got in the action, really turning up the heat. It was ZX Flux fever all round, who can forget the amazing city pack? If that wasn’t enough, with the aid of Mi ZX Flux you could create your design with your own picture.
Custom huaraches were getting more interesting as the year progressed. We saw different materials other than paint being used. The Maggi Huarache customs made with subzero python were hands down the best Huarache custom job of 2014.

3m 3m 3m! Since the re introduction of 3m being used (reflective material) there have been so many trainers released this year, from the Retro 13s to infrared 6s. Sometimes it has worked and sometimes it hasn’t but you can not deny that it makes a dope difference to any trainer.

Saucony had a great year; it started with the Burgers, was followed by the Desert and ended with a landing on the moon. Dope collaboration with Bait too!

There were loads of great air maxes released this year from the Liquid pack to the Halloween pack. What was your favourite release this year?

It’s fair to say Huaraches took the world by storm. With colourway after colourway Nike had us by our wallets, it didn’t matter how many times triple whites and blacked restocked a sell out was guaranteed. From 2015 Huaraches will become a Nike ID product, lookout for the 3m triple blacks too and loads more infant huaraches to come.

In 2015 we can see the highly successful Jordan brand release the Raging Bull Pack, Bordeaux 7s, Low 6s.

In 2014 Adidas made a huge come back. Rustling some feathers we had the ZX Flux, Stan Smith x Pharrell Williams collab, Big Sean collab, Rita Ora collab and of course the Kanye West collab which we are yet to see.

There have been some epic collaborations too, with Ronnie Feig, From Virginia Ben, Pigalle, Ricardo Tisci and Supreme all joining forces with some of our favourite sneaker designers for unique collections.

Runners have become lighter and brighter and there are loads more to look forward to in 2015.

Nike have been supplying us with that basketball and football on court and field heat all year round what where your favourite drops this year ?

On the more high end side of sneakers we must not forget the amazing drops from Filling Pieces, Balenciaga, Patrick Mohr, Y3 and many more…

Word on the street is that @Lmldn will soon be releasing a high end trainer watch this space.
Congrats to @freshlaces making it into Harvey Nichols this January, From Virgina Ben making huge power moves in 2014 and @ropeslaces making it into high street retailers.
