Welcome to another new weekly feature from us here at GRM Daily! Joining The Plug is it’s listicle cousin, where we round up the best music videos that have dropped in the week. Whether it’s from the UK, the US, or somewhere else, we’re not going to be biased; if it’s sick, we’ll have it here.
Having said that, in the feature’s debut week we have an all-UK list, which is always fantastic to see. Keep scrolling below to check out new videos from Rated Award nominees Jme, Little Simz and more.
Jammer – Royal Rumble (ft. Grime All-Stars)
With Lord Of The Mics 7 well on it’s way, Jammer gets the gas levels rising by releasing a new tune and video. Going in over the ‘Pulse 8’ instrumental, he rounds up an all-star list of featured guests to join him, including *holds breath*; Hyper, Jendor, Blacks, D Double E, Lethal Bizzle, Royal, Discarda, Ears, Bruza, Footsie and Shorty all lining up outside the block.
Shakka – Say Nada (ft. Jme)
This week, Shakka dropped the visual to his debauchery-filled, Jme-featuring hit ‘Say Nada’. The video is as charming as the tune, which has Shakka and his wingmen hitting up the party in search of a freak. Expect this one to be on your box soon.
Jme – Test Me
Speaking of Jme, it’s only right to have his own video on this list too. He actually dropped two videos this week – check out the Pokemon-based ‘The Very Best‘ here – but this is certainly our favourite. The video for his Joker-produced banger ‘Test Me’ is classic Jme. It’s full of swegways, the sidemen and creepy-as-hell masks. Saying that, we kind of want them to wear in the office. Jme, hit us up.
Little Simz – Top Down (ft. Kent Jamz)
With her new album on the way very soon, Little Simz released a new video and track, featuring Overdoz member Kent Jamz on the hook. The black and white video is filmed in Jamz’ hometown of L.A. and features a cameo from Stormzy too. Too, too wavy.
Jevon – Dark Matter
Rated artist and one-to-watch, Jevon, also dropped a sick video this week. He released a dark visual for his aptly titled ‘Dark Matter’, a distinctly Grimy track that takes influence from the heart of the UK’s sound. The video features him riding around the ends in his current base Coventry.
