Fetty Wap ft. Drake – My Way Remix
Kicking off this week’s selections, is Fetty Wap, the one-eyed viral-wonder behind “Trap Queen”. He began cementing himself as a real player in the game, enlisting October’s Very Own aka Drake for the remix of his “My Way” tune. Drizzy clocks in for a standout verse, enhancing a song which already has massive hit potential. Expect this one to be on repeat though out the summer.
Game ft. DeJ Loaf – Ryda
Game is gearing up to release the sequel to his undeniably classic album ‘The Documentary’ some time this year. To kick off his promotion run, he’s enlisted the hook queen DeJ Loaf for the visual to his new single “Ryda”. It’s bouncy, club-ready and distinctively West Coast.
Vince Staples – Senorita
Vince Staples is another MC from the West side of the US, a young and exciting rapper who’s street mentality and incredible lyricism is surely taking him straight to the top. The first single from his upcoming debut major label album, “Senorita”, features a mad Future sample and is absolute trapping gold.
Post Malone – Too Young
Post Malone is the man responsible for internet sensation “White Iverson” and an artist who’s music is clearly influenced by the post-Drake landscape of US rap music. His latest single “Too Young” is a step up from the last, which has solemn and sung bars float over a sparse beat. Watch out for this guy.
Lil Wayne – Sellsun Blue
Although Weezy is having hard times as of late, he isn’t letting his fans down. Lifting this freestyle over Troy Ave’s “About The Money” from his ‘Sorry 4 The Wait 2’ mixtape for a brand new visual, he vents some his label frustrations. Free Weezy!
