A judge issued a warrant for the rapper’s arrest on the 5th June, for charges relating to an encounter he had with an off-duty LAPD officer during a basketball game on March 29th earlier this year.
The Game was seen punching the officer during the basketball game in a video obtained by TMZ. He turned himself in for the charges on the 8th June and was charged with one felony count of making criminal threats, allegedly telling the officer, “I’m going to kill you”. Yikes.
He had previously denied the threats however, and states that in fact the officer threatened him, telling the rapper he had a gun in his bag. He was not charged with battery despite TMZ’s video clearly showing him punch the officer.
The Game was released from custody after an hour, once his $50,000 bail was posted.
