10 December 2020

YouTube Music and Westfield London have joined forces to celebrate the best of Black British music and fashion in the form of a livestream.

Titled ‘The Legacy Series: Fashion x Music’, the livestream will be hosted by Henrie Kwushue and will showcase six Black British designers and their collections through runway shows, live performances from some of the UK’s most exciting artists, and behind the scenes interviews.

During the livestream, artists such as Tiana Major9, Pa Salieu, Ms Banks, George The Poet, NSG & Unknown T will perform while modeling collections from designers and brands such as Walé Adeyemi, Tokyo James, Bad Society Club, Benjart, Sons of the First Tribe and Käse.

The livestream will take place on December 17th on GUAP’s YouTube channel from 7pm.

In addition to the stream, Westfield London will be hosting pop-up stores for the designers every Friday-Sunday until 20th December where people can shop the collections in person.

Sheniece Charway, Artist Relations Manager, YouTube says: “YouTube has an important role to play in not only helping people connect, but in propelling our creative economy forward. Fashion and music are the lifeblood of the UK and we are thrilled to be championing the best in Black British talent and providing a vital platform for creatives to collaborate with one another. The Legacy Series goes beyond just creating moments – it’s a continued celebration of Black excellence.”

The pop-up shops will be available at Westfield London on Level 1. Opening times will be between 12-8pm on Friday and Saturday and 12-6pm on Sunday every weekend until the 20th December.
