Welcome back to The Plug, your only definitive guide to the best music out of our scene, every single week. Last week, we brought you flames from recent Sony RCA signee Yungen, as well as bangers from Ghetts, J Hus and MoStack. This week we have 7 more heat rocks for you, which our guy Griff has drawn together below. Not only that, but we also serve up 11 more songs for you in the full playlist at the bottom. Really, we’re The Plug.

Cadell – Hotline 3

Kicking off this week’s The Plug is a controversial choice, but one that can’t be ignored all the same. Cadell has never been one to hold his tongue and he raised the bar again on his latest track “Hotline 3” – which drew some criticism on Twitter from his brother Wiley – that sends for Stormzy.

Stormzy – Standard

With all that said on the last tune, there simply is no stopping Big Mikey. Stormzy dropped his new track “Standard” at the start of the week and had the internet in a frenzy as soon as it impacted. This one is real hype and is sure to be present on rave sets for the foreseeable future.

Scorcher – Smoking While We Drink (ft. G-FrSh)

Scorcher released a new video this week, for his wavy tune “Smoking While We Drink”, which is dedicated to an elegant freak, alongside fellow lyricist G-FrSh. Although it’s not a new tune, the video made us revisit it all over again. Peep the song below and pree the video here.

Tinie Tempah – We Don’t Play No Games (ft. MoStack & Sneakbo)

After all the talk surrounding Tinie Tempah and later comments by Chip, it seems the former has actually delivered a little something back into the culture. With his mixtape ‘Junk Food’ coming “very soon”, he gave us the first taste of what’s to come with a bouncy new track,”We Don’t Play No Games” featuring MoStack and Sneakbo.

Bugzy Malone – Bronson

While the dust settles within the beef between Bugzy Malone and Chip, the Manchester MC has dropped a new tune for all his fans. Named after the infamous prisoner, Bugzy delivers some typically honest, introspective and emotional lyrics over the minimal beat.

P Money – Forgot About Dre

Yet another shining highlight to come out of Radio 1Xtra’s recent MC Month, is this amazing freestyle/cover from P Money. Tackling Dr Dre’s legendary track, he spins it into something very much his own, touching on a very sensitive and personal subject about his father. This is prime P.

Rayf – Phone Down

Mellow Grime’s multi-talented artist Rayf dropped yet another fire loose on his SoundCloud page this week. Remixing Erykah Badu’s recent track “Phone Down”, he flips it into something unrecognisable from the orginal, in the waviest way possible. Another blend of his melancholic R&B vibe and industrial grime synths, this one is absolutely popping.
