Introducing The Shortlist.

Featuring the hottest MC’s, rappers and artists that you’re going to be hearing a hell of a lot of over the next 12 months and beyond. From rap to grime, R&B to drill, there’s a flavour for everybody on our new album.

Handpicked by us at GRM Daily to create some original music, we’ve brought together the UK undergrounds freshest talent into one place, just for you.

This is the future of our scene and we’re over the moon to be able to provide this platform for them.

The album is out now across all streaming platforms: iTunesApple MusicSpotify. While you get familiar with the music, we thought it’s only right we start introducing the key players from the project.

Now, we’d like to introduce you to Young Ty.

What ends are you from?

I’m from Ladbroke Grove in West London.

You’re still young, what inspires you to do music?

Basically to get my name out there, provide for my family and to be amongst the greats, you know?

What goals have you set for the next year and 5 years?

For the next year it’s to accumulate some views, get my name out there more and get sponsored by my favourite brand Nike (laughs). For the next five years, it’s to provide for my mum and to make her proud, that’s all I can ask for.

In the UK/worldwide, who would you dream collaboration be?

Wiley, because he’s the Godfather and Giggs… Giggs is a madman in this! Also, shoutout Dave and then AJ Tracey, who’s reppin it for Ladbroke Grove. Worldwide, it would have to be Drake.

When that first music cheque lands, what are you spending it on?

I’d spend it on my mum, my cousins because there’s nothing really to buy. Bun a pair of Louboutins, that’s a no no for me.

Top 5 MCs… go.

Young TY… hahaha, Dave, AJ Tracey, 67 and Dis.

What are the plans for the next couple of months?

Hopefully I’ve got a couple of videos, I’m working on an EP or something like that.

Out of all of your tracks, what stands out for you?

That’s a tough one, but I’d have to say my BL@CKBOX freestyle, you know.
