It has been announced that Tiffany Claver will be the new host of The Rap Show on BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra. Every Saturday from 9-11pm starting form January 5th, Tiffany will host the biggest hip-hop show in the country.
The Telford born DJ will be the first female to host this show, previously presented by Charlie Sloth and Tim Westwood. Her network in the music scene exceeds the UK with Tiffany curating a mix for Drake’s OVO Sound radio show.
Tiffany said, “I’m honoured to be taking over the slot that has pretty much soundtracked my life. I look forward to carrying on the legacy of such a prestigious and highly respected show while also having the opportunity to add my own flavour (and sound effects) to it. This is a new beginning in so many ways; dreams really can come true.”
Snoochie Shy will also join the station permanently, taking the reigns of the late night show between Monday and Thursday. Both Snoochie & Tiff will be on the decks in the coming weeks at Spotify’s award winning Who We Be show at Ally Pally on the 28th of November.
Tiffany was recently nominated for Best DJ at our GRM Rated Awards which Charlie Sloth won. Who knows, maybe she will follow in his footsteps and win next year?
