As we head into the mid-afternoon office slump, Google has come through with an interactive homepage doodle to pay homage and solve all your procrastination needs.
To mark hip-hop’s 44th Birthday, the world’s favourite search engine has brought us an interactive doodle as it’s latest dedication logo, on which you can mix classic hip-hop & rap tracks.
The logo comes as it’s been 44 years since 18-year-old DJ Kool Herc played instrumental records rather than full tracks at a now legendary house party in the Bronx, while his collaborator Coke La Rock MC’d alongside him.
The New York party held back on the 11th August 1973 at 1520 Sedgwick Avenue has since gone down in history as the night hip-hop was born.
