Season three of Top Boy is nearly here and yesterday (September 4), some of the show’s cast and the biggest names in the scene came out for the premiere of the programme in London.
With Top Boy being set in the east of the Capital, it’s only right the premiere took place there with the premiere being displayed in the Hackney Picturehouse. In attendance at the premiere were many of the show’s stars such as Ashley Walters (Dushane), Kano (Sully), Michael Ward (Jamie), Dave (Modie), Little Simz (Shelley) and many more. Other big names took to the red carpet including the likes of Lethal Bizzle, Headie One, Julie Adenuga and several others.
The first teaser trailer for season three of Top Boy was first shown during Drake’s UK leg of his European tour earlier this year and the 6 God was also in attendance at the premiere last night, delivering a moving speech to acknowledge everyone who played a role in the latest season of the hit show.
Following the showing of episode one of the forthcoming Top Boy series, Dave, Michael Ward, Ashley Walters and Ronan Bennett – the show’s writer and creator- took part in a panel where they provided viewers with detailed insight into the making of the new season.
