It’s only been a few months since we were gifted with the long-awaited third season of Top Boy and it looks like the fourth season is already in the works.
Ashley Walters – who plays Dushane in the popular London-set drama – has teased that preparation has already began for Top Boy season four.
Walters has not confirmed if the series will definitely return, but he has said storylines for a potential next season of the show are being discussed.
Speaking to Metro, he said: “Fingers crossed, we haven’t had the actual green light yet but it’s looking promising.”
“In preparation for that we’ve already been working out storylines and writing so it’s looking good. Obviously I won’t give anything away but it’s looking dope and we’re all looking forward to going again with the show.”
Although talks for the next instalment of Top Boy have begun, Walters said we may have to wait a while for the next season if it does get the green light.
“It had a huge impact and I’m quite sad we didn’t film two seasons at once because if we do go again, these people are going to have to wait quite a while again which is going to be difficult,” Walters said.
At present, no details of a fourth season of Top Boy are official but given Walters’ comments, as well as the success of the third season, it is looking very likely.
