Busy London Underground station Tower Hill has just been evacuated after an explosion on a District Line train. Passengers desperately fled the carriage.
Thankfully a small one, the explosion is believed to have been caused by a portable phone charger, the London Fire Brigade said. A fire alarm was triggered and the station was closed just before 12:30pm while the fire brigade began to investigate.
The incident, coming far too soon after a terrorist attack on another district line train last week, is not being treated as suspicious.
