Following the likes of Snapchat, Instagram and Facebook, Twitter is now unveiled its own ‘stories’ feature named ‘Fleets’ – and Twitter users aren’t happy.
Currently being tested in Brazil, Fleets will allow some tweets to delete after 24 hours in a similar fashion to other social media apps.
The posts will be able to view by tapping a user’s profile photo which will allow people to react to the stories with direct messages. Users won’t be able to retweet or like fleets.
Although the feature is only being trialled at the moment, many Twitter users have already taken to the app to express their disappointment of the feature using the #RIPTwitter hashtag.
Twitter has said if the trial goes well, fleets will be rolled out to other countries in the near future but judging by the reaction on the app, the tech company is probably already having second thoughts.
