It has now been announced that AJ Tracey’s big sophomore album, Flu Game, has come in at Number 2 in this week’s official UK Albums Chart!
The chart was unveiled by Scott Mills on BBC Radio 1 this afternoon (April 23).
During the show it was revealed AJ’s Flu Game has scooped up the Number 2 spot following London Grammar and their album Californian Soil that took the top spot. Behind AJ at Number 3 is rock group The Offspring with their LP Let The Bad Times Roll.
AJ’s huge success in this week’s chart comes as no surprise as Flu Game – which features big collabs with T-Pain, Digga D and more – has been well-received by fans since its release last week (April 19) and is the most streamed project of the week.
The rapper has also been making some big moves to promote the album and launched a mini-game with Spotify earlier this week, and hosted a basketball tournament in Stratford’s Copper Box Arena with the likes of Michael Dapaah, Konan, Bandokay, Double Lz, Big Zuu and more.
Flu Game is the west Londoner’s highest position in the UK Albums Chart as his debut self-titled LP peaked at Number 3 back in 2019.
AJ’s Number 2 spot in the Albums Chart is another example of his dominance in the music industry so we can only expect his success to continue going forward!
