South London multi-instrumentalist and producer Venna is back with his latest single, “Sicily’ Box”.
Tapping bassist Rocco Palladino, drummer/beatsmith Yussef Dayes and super-producer Marco Bernardis: Venna transports listeners into a smoky Italian jazz club.
With lively drumwork, smooth bass and mellow chords, Venna demonstrates why he’s an expert-level curator and composer.
For the self-directed visuals, Venna takes things international. The artist is seen shooting things DIY-style as he sightsees, records and performs live — all captured by a 1970s-like film camera.
“Sicily’ Box” follows Venna’s acclaimed jazz rap fusion EP, Venology — and his buttery Marco Bernardis-assisted number, “Were Do We Go From Here?”.
