It’s a sad day for Hip Hop and the music world as the news has surfaced of legendary Brooklyn rapper, Sean Price, passing away in his sleep aged 43.
Sean P was a member of multiple hip-hop groups such as Heltah Skeltah, Boot Camp Clik and Random Axe, which would all fall under the infamous Duck Down Records.
As a solo artist Sean ‘Ruck’ Price released three studio albums, 2005’s ‘Monkey Barz’, 2007’s ‘Jesus Price Supastar’ and 2012’s ‘Mic Tyson’.
Prior to his solo career Sean P began to gain recognition with rhyming partner Rock aka Don Rocko under the name Heltah Skeltah, the duo went on to release two classic albums. The first release was the 1996 debut ‘Nocturnal’ with the sophomore following two years later entitled ‘Magnum Force’.
Often referred to as Kimbo Price, he was known to many as a microphone legend for his comical gangster lines, insane flow and not to mention his larger than life sense of humour.
Rappers, producers, radio personalities, DJs and fans took to Twitter and Instagram to pay homage to the late Brooklyn emcee.

Sean is survived by his wife, and his three children. While it’s not known what exactly caused his death, it’s clear that Sean P will be deeply missed.
On August 21st 2015 Price was due to drop his highly anticipated mixtape ‘Songs in the Key of Price’.
