Entering the Who We Be Talks studio with his new title of WBO Cruiserweight champion over his head is Lawrence Okolie as he joins hosts Henrie and Harry for a brand-new episode of the Spotify podcast.

⁣Lawrence, the first athlete to feature on the podcast, discusses his inspiring rise to fame and the 28-year-old, who began boxing at the age of seventeen to lose weight after weighing over 19 stone, discusses how he was bullied at school because of his weight.

“I was called fat and other names so I would comfort eat almost, so it went round and round in spirals. Then obviously that turned into fights and stuff in school and whatever else and then I started boxing and I got serious in two different points. I had a fight in school and a boxer saw and he was like ‘I’ve seen your fights, you’re young, come on down to the gym and have a go'”.

The trio also delve into conversations about racism, social media and more; with Lawrence laying all his cards on the table throughout in the eye-opener of an interview.
