Since its conception back in 2005, Wireless has been home to some of music’s best and most loved acts. In the run up to this year’s huge event, we’ve shortlisted five of Wireless’ maddest moments (in no particular order) so you can reminisce before this year’s festival.
Drake bringing out Skepta – 2015
Drake’s blossoming love for BBK culminated in one of Wireless’ most talked about events ever. Drizzy brought out Skepta to perform “Shutdown”, and the performance became a defining moment for Wireless’ recent history.
Stormzy bringing out Dizzee – 2015
Another from back in 2015 was Stormzy bringing out Dizzee Rascal. The crowd were honoured enough to see an old school legend link up with a new one, and the joining did not disappoint.
BBK closing the festival with mad guests
Last year saw BBK close Wireless on Sunday night with a bang. The group brought out Lethal Bizzle as well as Pharrell for his collaboration with Skepta, “Numbers”, bringing waves upon waves to Finsbury Park.
Krept & Konan killing their set on the main stage – 2016
Not only did Krept & Konan have one of the most London-centric stage set ups that Wireless has seen, they also brought one of the most legendary sets. Their energy was unparalleled, and demonstrated just why they deserved to be main stage.
