WSTRN deliver the perfect, summer anthem with their new offering, “Sharna”.

Following the release of their dancehall-influenced hits “Ben Ova” and “Txtin”, WSTRN return with another single which incorporates elements of dancehall in the instrumental and their lyrics. In usual WSTRN style, Haile provides smooth vocals and a catchy chorus whilst Louis Rei delivers rap verses. “Sharna” is a chilled song with relatable lyrics about wanting to link up with a significant other.

“Sharna” sees Haile and Louis Rei re-unite after a series of solo endeavours including Rei’s appearance on Kamille’s new single “Emotional” which can be seen here and Haile’s feature on Mist’s song,“Fountain”, a fan favourite off the Birmingham repping artist’s EP, Diamond in the Dirt. Haile also lends his talents to Avelino’s wavey single “So Fine”.

Defined as a collective, the members of WSTRN each have their own individual talents and style and their solo work this year exemplified this. The group who originate from West London are readjusting to their current status as a duo following group member Akelle Charles’ legal troubles and “Shawna” proves that their chemistry and synergy as group members still exists.

WSTRN have collaborated with some of the biggest as well as up and coming names in music including Rita Ora, One Acen, Mostack and Mabel. Last year, WSTRN appeared on the charity single “Bridge Over Troubled Water” which raised money for victims of the Grenfell Tower Fire. The single reached number one on the UK singles chart.

This new offering from WSTRN with its summer vibe and slow instrumental is the perfect slow whine anthem for carnival and it is sure to be another successful release for the group.
