Globalisation of Grime has well and truly kicked off, with many countries starting to embrace the culture on a full throttle level.

We’ve all seen the American with the best English accent, but now we have a companion from across the pond reacting to Grime videos on his YouTube channel.

2BluntTV is an American YouTuber who set up his channel less than two months ago, but has already amassed a huge following here in the UK.

The content on his channel is simply his reaction to UK Grime and Rap videos, all of which are requested by his subscribers.

(Here we have him reacting to Stormzy and Chip’s latest track “Hear Dis” where you can see him vybzing and talking about why he loves UK music.)

He’s seen his channel take a sharp rise in interest, currently boasting more than 7,000 subscribers and 700,000 channel views – this will without a doubt rise even further.

An impressive feature is his insane output, having uploaded 150 videos in such a short time period, in a bid to keep up with the overwhelming amount of requests.

(2BluntTV takes in Wretch 32 and Avelino’s Fire In The Booth, which leaves him speechless, describing it as one of the best pieces of music he’s ever heard. Just look at how it leaves him.)

What’s greatest about it all is that you can see how he’s slowly, yet so rapidly, becoming a real fan of the scene and what it has to offer as each video goes by.

Something that started as a reaction to a few videos has accelerated into a guy who has unearthed a genre of music he really digs.

(Ghetts’ latest and much talked about “Risky Roadz Freestyle” definitely seems to get 2BluntTV going. His face lights up throughout the Plaistow General’s typically energetic freestyle.)

There’s something enlightening about seeing somebody from another part of the world embrace and understand what our music has to offer, and that’s why I think the popularity is there.

Plus the game is in the name of his channel, and he is honest about what he thinks on every individual video.

(However, there are some videos that he doesn’t quite rate, with Section Boyz not quite cutting it for the man himself.)

I’m sure he wasn’t expecting to see the channel blow up like he did, but here’s to hoping the success continues. Well done 2BluntTV, keep it up.
