Nottingham duo Young T and Bugsey have come through with their highly-anticipated mixtape, Truth Be Told!
Clocking in at just under an hour in length, Truth Be Told contains fifteen original tracks from Young T & Bugsey including the previously released “Prada Bae” with Nafe Smallz, “Roberto C” featuring Unknown T, “Blessings” with Chronixx and the big Blxst-assisted track “Nice”.
The project also comes complete with new material as well as fresh collabs with Aitch, M Huncho and Jasmine May.
Truth Be Told arrives as the follow-up to Young T & Bugsey’s debut project, Plead The 5th, which dropped back in 2020. The mixtape housed tracks such as “Strike A Pose” with Aitch, “Bully Beef” featuring Fredo and the Headie One-assisted “Don’t Rush” – which went viral internationally during the UK’s first lockdown.
Speaking on the making of Truth Be Told in an exclusive interview with GRM, Bugsey said: “The creative process has been super long. Most of these songs are from 2020, I think there’s only probably two songs from 2021.”
He added: “We was in the studio quite a lot after that, once lockdown got lifted and we could go back to the studio. I feel like we were just on a high – that was the biggest point we had been in our career and we were just getting so many things left, right and centre. When we were making music at that time, everything was so easy. That’s one thing that I was happy about; that the tape was made during that time.”
