Yungen and Craig David team up for their new single entitled “Intimate”.
The new track from the UK artists is an instant hit and features cheeky punchline-laced verses from the South London rapper and a catchy chorus and solo verse from early 2000s R&B artist Craig David.
The collaboration comes after Yungen teased the pair had something in the works after meeting and becoming friends in a now-deleted Instagram post. More recently, Yungen referred to Craig David as a “legend” in another Instagram post announcing the track’s release.
Craig David saw chart-topping success with his collaboration with Artful Dodger, “Re-Rewind” in 1999 and solo success in the 2000s with a string of hit singles including “7 Days”, “Fill Me In” and “Walking Away”. In 2015, Craig David dropped “When the Bassline Drops” featuring Big Narstie and returned to mainstream chart success.
The new offering from Yungen comes after a busy summer for the rapper which saw him perform on some of the UK’s most prolific stages including Capital FM’s Summer Time Ball, Leeds Festival, South West Four Festival and Reading Festival.
His track with Yxng Bane, “Bestie”, catapulted him to chart success and garnered him generous radio play. This new single with Craig David with a light tropical house influence and a chilled party vibe is sure to do the same.
