Prior to this month it had been a while since Yungen was active in the UK music scene and to remind us why he is such a problem on the mic to begin with, he’s back with his third release of the month dubbed “Popstar”.
This song starts off with the hook where Yungen uses a Power reference and details the contrast in what his parents expected him to grow up to be, and what he actually ended up doing. “Popstar” is full of clever wordplay as Yungen proves his pen game is still as strong as ever.
The dynamic beat makes you want to bounce along to the song from the very first second before digesting all the sharp content Yungen lays down.
The talented south Londoner is back in great fashion as “Popstar” follows on from his debut Daily Duppy and “P&P” – all released in two weeks.
