Congo-born and Bradford-raised rising artist Zaire has released his first official single titled “Shotti” and its visuals.

Compared to his previous offering “Combo Flow (Freestyle)”, “Shotti” is much more steady in pace as the 20-year-old creates an empowering single centred around resilience and struggle.

The visuals for the track – directed by Meeks and Frost – begin with information regarding Congo’s deep history, before the theme of strength within the song is reflected in scenes dominated by war and combat.

Speaking on the Mike Brainchild-produced “Shotti”, Zaire said: “For me the song is about being strong and confident enough to stand at the frontline and face anything, whatever it may be. In my life I’ve seen a lot and have learnt to always expect the unexpected, that’s why in the hook I say “just in case” – because you never know in this life what may come your way. It’s a warning to always be prepared.”
