Newham rhymer Zino Vinci has returned with stellar visuals for his latest joint, “Namaste”!
Harkening back to the era of Channel U, Lake Elsinore fitted caps and leather Avirex bombers, he shares a flurry of unwavering grime-tinged nostalgia. Despite the track’s retro undercurrent, the rapper and producer WIZE sculpt the song with a future-proof riddim, thanks to its crunchy drum loop and electrified baseline.
Zino takes things one step further for the visuals, pulling cues from photographer Simon Wheatley’s work. Directed by Luke Annett, he is seen wandering his concrete-bound neighbourhood, shelling a rap cypher and chilling with his squad. In the video, the titular emcee is seen rocking his clothing brand, Bawne London, as well as track-appropriate fitted caps and shell jackets.
Considering the East End spitter has remained quiet on the music front since 2021’s “Make Money”, “Namaste” stands as a sterling return to form.
With flows reminiscent of a young Dizzee Rascal, coupled with a stage-ready beat and effortless charisma, Zino Vinci makes his presence known.
