Big Zuu has just announced that he is the newest member of the BBC 1xtra team as he has joined the radio station as a host of the 1xtra Residency.

The rapper broke the news on Instagram by sharing a video in which he delivers an acapella rap about what to expect from the radio show. The clip was accompanied by the caption “I am very proud to announce that I will be joining the @bbc1xtra team hosting the 1xtra Residency along side @itsnadiajae @tashlc & mosesboydexodus”.

As Big Zuu’s caption states, he’ll be joined by Tash LC, Nadia Jae and Moses Boyd and the group will bring you the latest tunes, exclusive interviews and jumpy sets every Wednesday for two hours.

Earlier in the week, Charlie Sloth announced he would be leaving BBC 1xtra after a decade at the station to begin a new chapter.

Big Zuu’s show is set to start this coming Wednesday (October 10) at 11pm. Make sure you tune in!
