Next week promises to bring us some long overdue heat, however for all intents and purposes we’re focused on heat of a different kind. Let’s dive straight in and take a look at how this week’s charts shaped up.

The undeniable story of this week’s charts has to be Nine’s first release “I See You Shining”, which comes a year after his debut album One Foot Out dropped. The track is Nines’ first UK top 40, coming in at number 37. The fact that he is still able to drop songs intermittently with no loss to his buzz is simply mind boggling. The video has racked up an eye-watering two million views in less than two weeks; and it’s clear that Nines has something labels cannot manufacture, try as they might.

Slightly higher up the charts Mostack’s “What I Wanna”-which was also his return to his solo music after months of killing a range of features. “What I Wanna” has moved up to number 31 jumping a couple places on last week where it was at number 33. This movement has got to be in part due to the fact that “What I Wanna” was this week’s most played track on Radio 1; getting 30 spins station wide. Considering the music was side-lined for so long by mainstream radio, this is certainly an incredibly noteworthy achievement for Mostack.

B Young’s banger “Jumanji” is showing no signs of letting up, after spending 14 weeks in the top flight and now moving into the number 13 spot (it’s highest placing thus far) the only way is clearly up. “Bad Vibe” by M.O, Lotto Boyzz and Mr Eazi the visuals which we premiered, is still riding high in the charts almost four months after its release. Another mover, jumping three spaces to number 23- with our first taste of summer due next week this tune is sure to remain in heavy rotation for weeks to come.

Mabel and Not3s collaboration “Fine Line” has dropped to number 35 after 12 weeks of running riot in the upper echelons of the chart. Not3s teased us with new music on Twitter promising some new releases next month, another hit maker Yxng Bane is just one spot below with his latest banger “Vroom”. Bane recently jumped on a track with UK Legend Craig David on “Magic”- if you missed it be sure to check it out right here. Keep it locked on GRM Daily for the definitive chart round up next week.
