Fans have been sending messages of praise and support after Grime legend Ghetts was hurt in a serious car accident on Friday night.

Ghetts was due to play at Unit 17 nightclub in Ipswich but was unable to make the event due to the accident.

Details of the crash are yet to emerge, but an associate of the East London MC took to Twitter to explain his absence to fans.

The only reassurance within the Tweet is that Ghetts is recovering at home, rather than hospital. This suggests his condition is not life-threatening.

The event came only a day after Ghetto was caught in the flooding that hit parts of East London and Essex on Thursday.
