Avengers superfans and Fortnite players will be excited to learn that the two have come together for a new gaming event.
Following the worldwide release of Avengers:Endgame which marks the end of an era for the Russo brothers directed series of films, Fortnite will allow Marvel fans to continue their superhero fix within their gaming universe by allowing players to use some of the signature weapons of their favourite Marvel characters. Thor’s hammer, Captain America’s shield and Hawkeye’s arrows are among the weapons up for grabs.
Fans will also be able to play in Thanos themed battles and expeditions. For players preferring to be villains, Thanos will also be available as a playable character.

The Marvel and Fortnite collaboration comes as the online survival multiplayer game created by Epic Games continues to receive criticism. As the game holds its reign as one of the most popular and successful games ever, some have criticised it for its direct marketing to children and its negative effect on their mental health.
Prince Harry recently slammed the game and called for it to be banned due to its “addictive” nature.
Prince Harry said, “That game shouldn’t be allowed. Where is the benefit of having it in your household? It’s created to addict, an addiction to keep you in front of a computer for as long as possible. It’s so irresponsible. It’s like waiting for the damage to be done and kids turning up on your doorsteps and families being broken down.”
The game was also recently banned in Iraq which you can read about right here on GRM Daily.
